New Amsterdam Market is an economic development initiative founded in 2005. We support regional food systems, responsible sourcing, and the emerging economy of small businesses.
We propose the Fulton Fish Market Tin Building and New Market Building --two landmarks of national significance-- be restored and dedicated as a new wholesale and retail market that will anchor the East River Esplanade as a premier destination for New Yorkers and visitors from around the world.
